“Mike the Participant” has decided to rethink his approach to the Mandatory ISP-level filtering debate.
In appreciation of his rethink, I have decided to hide the reposts of his posts and the subsequent critical commentary.
A full statement from Mike will be shortly forthcoming. In the interim, the concluding paragraph of the draft statement is reproduced below.
“I appreciate the various blogs being available as forums for discussion, and will seek to engage with you all in a more professional manner in the future. The strong reactions I have seen have prompted me to revisit the issues at hand and have a good think about what would be an optimal outcome of this whole initiative.”.

I would like to encourage everyone who encounters Mike in other fora in future to put this little episode aside and adjust the tone of the debate to the tone that Mike himself has agreed to adopt in future.
